Superleague is an elite tournament, held between the 8 current major centres over the March to August period. It offers the chance for our patrons to play in combined teams in our centre colours and in a highly competitive environment, where skills and strategies are sharpened.
Each centre puts in 10 teams – 3 Ladies, 3 Mens and 2 Mixed, plus 1 Over 35 Ladies and 1 Over 35 Mens. ALL TEAMS ARE 6-A-SIDE. The competition is held over 4 rounds, split over Saturday and Sunday, usually 4-5 weeks apart. Each team will play 7, 20 minute games on each day of competition. These qualifying rounds are followed by a finals round in August each year, where the top 4 teams in each division play off for a premiership on a Saturday. These finals are followed on the Saturday by a Dinner, where the winners are presented with trophies and everyone attending is treated to food, drinks and entertainment by a top band.
Our centre is the newest in the superleague and have rapidly improved, with recent finals experience for many of our teams and wins for our Ladies 2 and 3 teams in recent years.
Try outs generally commence in late January/early February each year.
Cost is approximately $120 for the season, which includes a club shirt/singlet to play in.
Patrons who feel they have good skills are encouraged to try out if you can play each game and finals. We have generally struggled to fill all our teams so spots are certainly available.
